THURSDAY REPORT CARDS GO HOME
No Grade 4 Math sheets due tomorrow, but I am sending a sheet home showing which, if any, time skills need to be reviewed. Please practice a few of any skills indicated as needing practice (circled).
Marked Work Folder: Although many came back to school signed, many have not been returned. Some were not filled out by students (at the bottom of some assessment covers), and these are being sent home with a note. Please verify that you have signed the front page of each assessment (some were not signed but handed back to me) - you may want to remove the folder from your child's bag to avoid this. Then return the folder to school once you have had a chance to review the assessments.
Grade 3 Science: Structures cover page need to have 10 ideas (pictures of strong or stable objects, questions about strength or stability, known facts, ways we use these qualities...). Some of this may be done on the back. For example, your child could draw a strong and a different stable structure and describe them on the front side, then write questions o the back. Few students did a quality job on this and coloured their page. Please supervise to see that this is done.
Words to Study mistakes from home pretest for tomorrow's test.
Sentence Stretchletics (see instructions on inside cover of Words duotang) Most students are now writing a sentence in pencil (with three circled words for the current Words list), then stretching it with a blue pen or pencil. I am expecting 4-5 changes in blue. A change could be an added adjective such as "sticky", "adorable", or "jealous". It could be a phrase that replaces such as this adverbial phrase replacing the word "later": "when all eyes had closed and the busy sounds of mice had begun." However, several students still need to do one of the expectations.
FRIDAY NO HOMEWORK ( except SPECIAL MISSIONS )
